WHERE THE BATTLE RAGES

 YOU KNOW ME NOT   You know me not Though once you did  Knew me just  As I myself  All my thoughts And all my moods Inside out  And upside down Now I'm just  Another face  Just a puzzle And a chore  Save for glints  And fleeting smiles When you'll half a guess At who I am Still within's  The precious seed Incorrupt  And still to bloom  In that Day  When we will know Just as we  Are fully known. 

THE ONLY DAY Across the troubled hills Comes a breathless pall Nature shrinks from Otherness  The base before the Royal  Our crude flesh is hallowed In blood and afterbirth The Creator is created  Our squirming, wrinkled Lord    High Heaven has been humbled Omnipotence in clay! God’s umbilical cord is cut  And Yahweh laid in hay   Hail this the trembling Day of Days! Hail this the most momentous Day!  Hail this, the one and only Day There has ever really been

IF   NOBODY SEES     Really, so many?  Well, nobody sees Behind closed doors   In labs agleam 'Blob' in, 'waste' out Where nobody sees  With white-coats and smiles And biscuits and tea And not a soul there So nobody sees   We've hidden it all Where no eye can pry  So isn't it OK   If nobody sees?
