CHEAP CALLETH UNTO CHEAP

CHEAP CALLETH UNTO CHEAP     Be a man and prove your worth  Make your mark upon the earth  You were called to fight and form Subdue, create, find, explore  Instead a life of challenge and joys Is being consumed on mere toys Mesmerised by childish games  Unreal pains and futile gains, Dragon's fire and wizard's hex, Easter eggs and vain side-quests  Compelled to beat your own PB And powerless to wrestle free Another night with not much sleep?    Well, cheap calleth unto cheap!    You're called to rule a living world Not this flashing, flickering, swirl With manly vigour held in thrall It's time at last to  'Delete all'    Pull clear of that empty glare See at last there's nothing there.

INAUGURATION

INAUGURATION   He that men deem Joseph's son  This same one meanders home  Charged to speak one Sabbath morn    Strolls calmly forth to take the scroll Each ear is bent and whispers halt   All eyes affixed to seek out fault The Seer's song ascends the room  Each word a dart to target hearts  Till 'In your ears fulfilled today.'  Prompts hopes to rise and looks to stray Silence falls on the spirit-poor With the hard of heart demanding more The humble soul grasps liberty   But not all captives are set free.

NATURE KNOWS

1. NATURE KNOWS   Nature knows a garden-world Shielded safe in nestled peace   A regal, rich, abundant land  She last had seen in distant East Diligent search she oft has made To heal a loss that's left such grief Not knowing why it bade farewell  Why it ever wished to leave    She yearns again to see that realm So God-hallowed and wholly blessed Whence came her fullest pulse of life  Sprawled and free in vernal rest  Groans for such a primal place Where she found auspicious bliss  Filled with virgin verdancy  Holding all that she could wish   Where mists from earth and pleasant streams Would wash her roots and feed her dreams  Where breeze through trees could play soft keys And charm the hushed and holy peace   And do beasts of that same lost world     Lift heads in startled wonder  To hear from these, her lesser lands ...

HIDE THYSELF

HIDE THYSELF   The Lord Sabaoth takes up His berth Cool, surveys the shriven earth All the slain that He can see The many Abels as might have been Seeks for right, seeks the just Finds only blood and boundless lust Till angels rise and bow in haste The Lord has stirred, moved from His place! Creation reels at such a sight Nature trembles before His might   Fore He bears His awesome arm Takes care the flock is free from harm  Come! Hide thyself! Withdraw! Move behind Love's last locked door! Hurry to the strongest fold   See all are in and shut up closed! Secure till wrath has thundered by Till the earth can breathe a sigh Peace there is midst darkest night For those who bask in Goshen's light.
