HEY, DREAMER

21. HEY, DREAMER

Hey, dreamer! Yes, I see you there

Brandishing your coat so fair

Kid, you scarce would be so bold

If inkling had of what future holds

Long road yet till you’re the boss

‘Stead stern plan will purge your dross

Long will Grace hold back your fame

Lest pride of life destroy your name

Wonder why you've yet to reap?

A life like this needs roots so deep

Soon you’ll see how pit and chain

Can be a dream’s long slow bane

Worse still, there’s famine ahead

A dearth for lands to greatly dread

So if you want your kin to thrive

Mark well God’s plan to save alive

And as the dull years crawl on by

Thy firm word they're sure to try

Dreamer, hold on in vale of tears

Master each and every fear

For if each wave you learn to ride

You’ll see through to another side

Beyond betrayal and painful cries

The dreamer’s star at last shall rise.
