WHEN I'VE THE TIME

WHEN I’VE THE TIME

When I retire

My plans will start

For furthest fell

I then will dart

Reams of time

For song and rhyme

When work is done

And I've got the time

When I retire

And job is done

Space at last for all my fun

Write that book, point that lens

Perhaps I'll do a 10k run!

I’d do them now

But here’s the crime

Through all the day

I’ve scarce the time

But hold on now

Spare a thought

By work’s swift end

What change is wrought?

If no time now

Will I make it then?

For all I am now

I’ll still be then
