ROCK OF AGES

ROCK OF AGES

Graves adorn our blasted heaths

Row on row like childhood teeth

When hill doth fall and last star tires

 When tide-locked Moon is full-retired

When hoary earth is curt dismissed

And heavens melt as merest mist

When scarcest wisps of dusty breath

Are ushered off to second death

You'll remain the same

Who was and is and is to come

The same forever more

Old as Time, but not old like Thee

Our Rock of Ages
